Take time to reflect on each word below that makes up our ‘WORSHIP’, ‘what we do at BCC’. Thank God for what he’s done and will do in each area. Meditate on the verse. What is He saying to you today?

Worship

We see all of life as worship, serving and honouring God.

“We thank you Father that you have given us life and adopted us into your family”

‘Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.‘ Matt 22:37

How can you worship God in your everyday life this week?

Pray for those who plan, prepare and help us worship and serve on Sundays at BCC

Outreach

We introduce others to Jesus through speech, actions and lifestyle.

We worship you Jesus Christ that you are still ‘the way, the truth and the life’.”

‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’ Matt 28:19

Who might God be wanting you to share Jesus with this week?

Pray for our groups at BCC sharing Jesus - Scallywags Toddler Group, Children’s Clubs, The Life Youth Club, Oasis Wellbeing Group, Carer’s Café, Coffee House

Relationships

We actively spend time getting to know and care for each other.

“Thank you loving Lord for placing us in a church family where we are loved and can love others.”

‘A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’ John 13:34 - 35

Are there people in the church family that you find hard to love?  Bring this to the Lord in prayer now and ask to see them as He does.

Pray for those in our church family who are lonely or feel forgotten by us.  For healing and restoration of relationships.

Serve

We serve God by using our gifts and abilities to help others.

“Thank you Jesus that you want to use us for your glory, to bless and transform lives around us.”

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.’  Luke 9:23

Where could you serve the Lord in the church and community?  Is there a new area He is asking you to serve in?

Pray for those who have served faithfully and are feeling drained, for more motivation and passion to serve and for those who don’t think they have the right skills to offer.

Happily Give

Having received all things from God, we reflect his generosity.

“I am so thankful Father God for all the blessings you pour out on me each day.”

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. ‘  Acts 4:32

What has God given you in this season of life that you can give to give back to Him today? Time? Money? Resources? Skills?

Pray for God’s provision of finances for those who need them in the church, for the running of the church, and for hearts of generosity for us as a people.

imitate Jesus

We are disciples of Jesus; his apprentices, & seek to follow his example.

We praise you Father that you are shaping us and making us more like your Son.”

‘... And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.’ Heb12:1-2

Consider any areas where you are facing temptation and you need to fix your eyes on Jesus.

Pray for all the Life Groups, that help us connect with others and grow together in Christ through the whole of life, and for those unable to connect in this way

pray

We communicate with God through prayer; it is the ‘oxygen’ of our spiritual life.

“Thank you for prayer, that you’re always available and will listen to us 24 hours a day.”

‘If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.’ 2 Chron 7:14

How might God want to grow your prayer life?  A new time of day? With others?

Pray for the prayer life in the church, especially for those who struggle to know how to pray and for those who have been praying faithfully for something for years.
